We source opportunities, conduct due diligence, structure investments, and co-invest alongside our partners. We are not brokers—we take equity positions in projects and operators, ensuring our incentives are fully aligned with investor outcomes.
What certifications do your projects hold?
Our portfolio includes projects certified by Verra (VCS), Gold Standard, CCB Standards (Climate, Community & Biodiversity), and Puro.Earth. We work exclusively with established certification bodies that meet institutional investor requirements. Our cookstove project in Togo is the first worldwide to achieve CCP (Core Carbon Principles) level certification.
What is the minimum investment size?
We work primarily with institutional investors. Typical investment sizes range from €1M to €50M depending on project type and structure. For credit offtake agreements, minimum volumes start at 10,000 VERs. Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
What returns can investors expect?
Returns vary by project type and risk profile. ARR forestry projects typically target 10-18% IRR over 15-30 year horizons. Native species projects trade financial returns for premium credit pricing and reputational value. We structure investments to match investor risk appetite—from senior debt positions to equity participation with upside exposure to carbon credit pricing.
Why Colombia's Orinoquia region?
The Orinoquia (Vichada and Meta departments) offers ideal conditions for forestry carbon projects: favorable climate, available land, established certification track records, and a supportive regulatory environment. We have operated here for 15 years, building the relationships, infrastructure, and due diligence depth that de-risk investments. While rooted in Colombia, our pipeline extends to blue carbon in Southeast Asia, cookstoves in West Africa, and other geographies.
What is the difference between VERs and CORCs?
VERs (Verified Emission Reductions) are carbon credits from projects that avoid or reduce emissions—such as reforestation (ARR) or cookstove distribution. CORCs (Carbon Removal Certificates) are issued by Puro.Earth specifically for carbon removal projects with permanent storage, such as Terrestrial Biomass Storage (TBS). CORCs trade at significant premiums ($200+) due to their permanence and removal characteristics.
How do you ensure project integrity?
Our 15-year presence in the region means we know the operators, the land, and the risks. We conduct extensive due diligence on every project including legal title verification, baseline assessments, operator track record analysis, and certification pathway validation. We co-invest in every project we bring to market—our capital sits alongside yours.
Can you structure custom projects?
Yes. We develop greenfield projects tailored to investor specifications—from species mix (100% native to high-carbon monoculture) to certification pathway (Verra, Gold Standard, CCB) to financial structure (debt, equity, hybrid).
